As the summer draws to a close, children are returning to school and to their afterschool programs. Join the Office of Child Care’s National Center on Afterschool and Summer Enrichment (NCASE) for a 30-minute overview of our latest updated resources to help out-of-school-time (OST) system and program-level staff ensure engaging and enriching afterschool experiences. This presentation will be followed by an optional 15-minute question-and-answer (Q&A) session for those who would like to dive more deeply into one or more resources.

By attending this webinar, you will be able to do the following:

  • Recognize and access NCASE Resource Library materials on such topics as equity, social-emotional learning and mental health, and partnerships to support high-quality OST programming.
  • Identify effective approaches and strategies, through state examples, to strengthen professional development systems for OST professionals.
  • Explore the School-Age Consumer Education Toolkit, which is focused on school-age children’s development, can be used by system- and program-level staff, and can be shared with families.
  • Learn about system- and program-level resources that support emergency preparedness, response, and recovery for OST programs.

  • This webinar is designed for state, territory, and Tribal-level professionals, including Child Care and Development Fund administrators; statewide afterschool network leads and National AfterSchool Association affiliate staff members; 21st Century Community Learning Center leads; and OST professionals, including program directors and staff members.
