Webinar: Serving Kids with Disabilities When School is Out – join us Mon July 12 at 11am
Kids with disabilities have been hit especially hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, and now more than ever, they need access to opportunities that will help them learn and grow when school is out. Kick off #SummerLearningWeek (July 12-16) this year by making a commitment to “build back better” for kids with disabilities in Kentucky. On Monday, July 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. ET, join the Kentucky Out-of-School Alliance (KYOSA) for a special webinar on disability inclusion in out-of-school time (OST) programs and settings. We will discuss the importance of providing a welcoming and supportive OST environment for children of all abilities, dispel common disability myths and stereotypes, and give participants the opportunity to learn about inclusion best practices from experts in the field. Special guests include: Melissa Beck, Education & Training Specialist at Kids Included Together (KIT); Judith Bradley, Founder of Jack Be Nimble; and Ian Smith, Founder of Skool Aid.
This training is ECE-TRIS approved.
