Afterschool Advocacy in Action* Â
Last Week, NJSACC CEO Ebony D. Grace had the honor of meeting with New Jersey State Senator Angela V. McKnight to discuss the critical challenges facing school-age childcare in New Jersey. Did you know, that low-income families access OST (Out-of-School Time) programs at just 38%—less than half the rate of their upper-middle-income peers? With 650,000 children left without access, the need for equitable, high-quality OST programs has never been more urgent. By investing in OST, NJ will join the ranks of 27 other states who have made addressing this issue a priority.

A huge thank you to Senator McKnight for being a true champion for OST and advocating for a brighter future for New Jersey’s youth. Together, we can bridge the gap and ensure every child has the opportunities they deserve. #AfterschoolAdvocacy #EquityInEducation #OSTChampions #NJYouth #AfterschoolNJ #WhyNotNJ
