NJSACC Announces the Diane Genco Excellence in OST Award - nominate by Fri Feb 28
Nominations accepted through February 28, 2025
Diane Genco, founding Executive Director, along with a small coalition of like-minded professionals and stakeholders, created what is now known as NJSACC: New Jersey’s Afterschool and Out-of-School Time Network.

The award will be given to a nominated Out-of-School Time (OST) Professional that exemplifies characteristics of professionalism and practice that meets high quality standards in the Afterschool and OST communities they serve.
Awardee must be able to attend the NJSACC Annual Conference on Saturday April 5, 2025 at 9:30 AM. The awardees’ registration fee for Saturday April 5, 2025 will be provided by NJSACC.
Nominees should have demonstrated commitment to excellence characterized by the following statements:
- Demonstrated innovation or creativity in their approach to serving children and youth outside of regular school hours.
- Shown positive impact on the lives of children and/or families, through their work in Out-of-School Time programs.
- Demonstrated collaboration with other stakeholders (e.g., schools, community organizations, parents/families/guardians) to enhance Out-of-School Time opportunities.
- Shown leadership qualities and positively influenced others in the field.
- Implemented any notable initiatives or programs that address specific needs or challenges in the Out-of-School Time landscape.
- Advocates for the importance of Out-of-School Time programs and their impact on youth development.
- Shown a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in their work.
- Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth within the Out-of-School Time field.
- Embodies the values and principles of Out-of-School Time programming, such as fostering a safe and supportive environment for children and youth.
