Just like pro ball, NBA Math Hoops on Mizzen opens with preseason (Lessons 1-3), where you’ll find every resource to get your students game-ready and help them build their roster. In midseason (Lessons 4-7, and optionally 8), you’ll engage youth in the wide array of strategy and game play—shots, steals, and free throws—they can apply, while building confidence in core math and SEL.
Then, Lessons 9 and 10 culminate with an in-class championship. Some programs celebrate the playoffs with a medal ceremony for sportsmanship; others throw a pizza party. Any way you slice it, this is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate teamwork and student pride in all they’ve learned.
