5 Things to use the ESSER III Set Aside for:
- 1 Support Social, Emotional and Mental Health: Purchase training for staff and/or curricula to support SEL.
- 2 Purchase materials that incorporate physical movement which can provide grounding techniques that help youth learn to recognize and regulate traumatic or stressful emotions.
- 3 Incorporate creativity, such as writing or fine arts which provides outlets for expressing and processing emotions, check out vendors that were at Showcase Alley at the 2024 NJSACC Annual Conference
- 4 Hire additional staff to have more small group interactions opportunities for youth of all ages to practice and re-establish their social skills and connections.
- 5 Partner with NJSACC for Technical Assistance, Coaching and Professional Development
